Arizona State's potential availability got me to thinking.

That if the B1G goes and takes their AAU schools (or most of them) out of the Pac12, there is gonna be some pretty decent teams left behind. Maybe it would behoove the ACC to look into a Western division or pod. There are going to be some football assets left behind. And I think we should at least explore our options.

We are stuck together until 2036, so why not at least look into it.

And we could bring BYU into this as well. I really like Oklahoma State, Arizona State and BYU for starters. Baylor or TCU? Iowa State (you know they aren't getting in to the B1G), WVU. Arizona and Utah are AAU, but probably not on the B1G radar.

I don't know about you, but our conference needs some good football schools. Bluebloods won't be available to us. But I wouldn't mind adding some schools who have shown to be good at football and are a quite pissed off about being left behind.

Sure, the conference wouldn't be as "big time" as the SEC and the B1G, but the alternative is to just sit here on the east coast hemmed in by two behemoth football powers suffocating us into irrelevancy.
